Our history
The Old Doctor's Maso has a long history...
It was born for an almost forgotten and now difficult to imagine need of the multi-purpose doctor Dr. Giacomo Spazzali, the only one in charge of all
the villages in the valley of the Magnifica Comunità (Trodena, San Lugano, Castello, Cavalese, Carano, Daiano, Varena, Predazzo), of the hospitable Tesero,
of the prisons of Cavalese and of the spa Bagni a Carano.
He bought the house and the land in the first half of the nineteenth century in order to reach all the villages by horse-drawn cart or sledge in the shortest possible time.
Later the farm passed from generation to generation, until Carlo Alberto Spazzali bought all the remaining shares and finally gave it to his daughter Giancarla,
the current owner.
This is the story in short... The desire to keep the name is a small form of gratitude for the whole past, important for one's family and for the valley of Fiemme.
